Description
Arimidex 1mg Tablet is used alone or with other medicine to treat early breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It can also be used as a first line tablet to treat the advanced breast cancer.
That has spread within the breast or to other areas of the women body. Anastrozole is present in it as an active ingredient. Arimidex tablet belongs to a class of drug that is called aromatic inhibitors.
Which decreases the amount of estrogen hormones in the women body. It should be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time every day to get the most benefit according to your doctor advise.
The dose of arimidex is one 1mg tablet taken once a day. For patients with advanced breast cancer, arimidex should be continued until tumor progression on the recommendation of your doctor.
As we know that, arimidex medicine comes in the drug class of aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (female hormone) produced in the body.
This can lower or stop the growth of breast cancer cells that need estrogen hormone to grow.
